Submission Process:

Official Email Requirement: Requests must originate from an official law enforcement email domain and be sent to legal@gettr.com.

Required Documentation: Each request should include relevant legal documents, such as search warrants, subpoenas, or court orders, in PDF format.

Information to Include in Requests:

Specific categories of data requested.
Date range for the requested data.
Legal basis authorizing the request.
Details of the law enforcement agency and contact information.
Usernames or identifiers of the accounts in question.
Indication of whether user notification is permitted.
Any directives related to data preservation.

User Notification:

GETTR reserves the right to inform users about data requests unless:

Prohibited by law.
It would interfere with an ongoing investigation.
It could pose a risk of imminent harm.

Preservation Requests:

GETTR honors formal preservation requests, maintaining the specified information for 120 days, with possible extensions upon written request.

Urgent Requests:

In emergencies involving potential death or serious injury, GETTR may expedite data disclosure after assessing the situation.

International Requests:

International law enforcement agencies may need to utilize the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) process to obtain user data.
